

Liberty Township is home to 11 parks with 273 acres: Allen Park, Cherokee Park, Dudley Park, Dudley Memorial Woods, Liberty Park, the Reserves of Liberty, Fort Liberty Playland, Maud Hughes Incline, Mill Creek Preserve, Wilhelmina and the Wetlands Park. The community sponsors four events each year: an Easter egg hunt, Fourth of July parade, Fall Festival and a Breakfast with Santa. Liberty Township has a YMCA and a youth sports league. Duluth Trading Company features innovative clothing as well as tools and speciality gear. On the east side of Union Centre Boulevard, there is a Barnes & Noble bookstore, RAVE theater as well as many other shops located in the Streets of Chester. The Frontgate Outlet and Ballard Designs Outlet have many home-furnishing options. On the west side of the highway, IKEA has over 344,000 square feet of Swedish home furnishings. Take the Union Centre exit off of I-75 in nearby West Chester Township and you will find many places to shop. Liberty Township is located within 15 minutes of several shopping centers. For those who enjoy outlet-style shopping, the Cincinnati Premium Outlet is just a short 10-minute drive north in Monroe. The 80,000 square foot retail showroom is geared toward sporting and hunting enthusiasts. Across the street from Liberty Center, Cabela’s has opened its second Ohio location. It is located at the junction of Liberty Way Interchange at I-75 and I-129.

Liberty Township is located in the east-central part of the county, north of West Chester Township and south of the City of Monroe. Two sergeants supervise eighteen deputies serving the township.
